In 1989 Wolfgang Dietz accomplished the desire to produce clarinets of his own high standards by building his own small workshop in his home. When his shop began to flourish, a new one was built in 1999 directly next to the house. With the success of his shop Wolfgang Dietz qualified two trainees and was able to raise his team on eight employees.

Since September 2010 Wolfgang’s son Ludwig Dietz, who has recently finished his bachelor’s degree in business studies, is learning the handicraft of making clarinets from the bottom up. The highly motivated team still produces all clarinets in manual operation. From the Basic Model to the Soloist Models, from the high-G-clarinet to the bass clarinet.
