All Dietz-Clarinets are exclusively built, hand-crafted, single-pieces.
During the whole manufacturing process the master, Mr. Wolfgang Dietz, and
his highly-qualified staff put their greatest value on precision, thoroughness
and love for the detail. The main objective in this approach is to ensure an excellent
sound and a perfect response of our clarinets as well as providing key work of highest quality.
The first class key work enables the artist to play conveniently and it helps to improve
the accuracy of fast passages. In order to meet the requirements of the individual musician
we manufacture each model in different bores and types. Our instruments are obtainable in grenadilla,
mopane or cocobolo wood without any price surcharge. In this way we are confident to have the right
instrument in our assortment for all clarinetists, be it classical players or players
in any other music style. We are looking forward to customize your clarinet and are always willing to
respond to your special wishes, suggestions, ideas and comments.
Quite recently we have started to offer - as an optional feature - our soloist instruments with a
carbon strengthened body instead of the traditionally used metal rings. The main advantage of the
carbon strengthened clarinet is the improvement of the response of the instrument.
The no longer needed metal rings and the extraordinarily fine hand-crafted key work of
the “carbon clarinet” lead to a considerable reduction of the overall weight of the clarinet.
This is all the more convincing as it obviously offers an improved and more direct response of the instrument.
